The bar chart provides a comparison of the frequency of regular exercise participation among males and females of different age groups in Australia in the year 2010.
Overall, it is evident that the proportion of women engaging in regular physical activity was higher than that of men. It is noteworthy that the highest percentage of individuals who exercised regularly was found among boys aged 15 to 24 and women aged 45 to 54.
It is clear that, among men and women aged 35 to 64, the proportion of women who regularly exercised exceeded that of men. In particular, over half of the women in this age range engaged in regular exercise, while the figure for men ranged from 39.5% to 45.1%. However, the 15 to 24 age group was an exception, where the percentage of men participating in regular exercise was higher than that of women, with 52% and 47.7%, respectively.
In the age group of 25 to 34, 48.9% of women engaged in regular exercise, while the percentage for men in the same age group was lower at 42.2%. Lastly, men and women aged 65 or older showed a similar percentage of regular exercise participation, at approximately 47%.
